At Lawrences Amble, we stock a range of preserved sea fishing baits that are proven to work on the Northumberland coast. Preserved baits are a reliable, ready-to-use option — no mess, no fuss, and effective year-round from the pier, beach, or boat.

Baits We Stock

• Mackerel – a tough, oily bait that works well for cod, pollock, and most sea species
• Squid – stays on the hook in strong tides and attracts a wide range of fish
• Sand eels – a natural prey fish, excellent for bass, pollock, and flatfish
• Cornish pilchard – an oily, scent-rich bait that draws fish from distance
• Bacon – a surprisingly effective bait, particularly for wrasse and inshore species

All baits are preserved and ready to use straight from the pack. Available in-store at our Amble shop, with local delivery across Northumberland.
