Anemone Coronaria De Caen

The Anemone coronaria ‘De Caen Mixed‘ bulbs will produce shallow bowl-shaped flowers in shades of red, blue-violet, and white, with mid-green leaves. The cup-shaped blooms will fill your garden with an array of colour year after year.

Anemone ‘De Caen’ look very natural, they are easy to grow and require very low maintenance, making them ideal for mass planting, or as edging for garden borders. They can grow up to 25cm / 10″ tall, so you could plant them in containers or pots on a sunny patio. These beautiful blooms also attract bees and pollinators making them a great choice for any garden.

Anemone’s will thrive in a sheltered, sunny location and require well-drained soil with a good supply of humus. You can enjoy several months of colour by planting the Anemone coronaria corms at different times – if you want flowers in spring, you can plant the corms between September to December. If you want summer flowers you can plant the corms in spring between February and April. Anemones normally start to flower about three months after planting.

During winter they will require some protection from the frost and extreme cold weather.
